Shoday stuns with debut EP, ‘BRKFST’

Rising Afro-fusion star, Shoday unveils his debut EP, ‘BRKFST’, a candid and upbeat portrayal of coming-of-age. Comprising six tracks, the EP showcases Shoday’s skill, documenting his journey and growth while embodying his aspirations for future success and prosperity. He teams up with Afrobeats superstar Bella Shmurda on the 4th track, titled ‘Billion Boy’, a party anthem sure to ignite dancefloors.

Featuring an impressive lineup of producers including Signal (Khaid and Joeboy), Fuwon (Iyanya and Soundz), and Fizzybeats (Midas The Jagaban), the EP showcases Shoday’s versatility across various genres. From the fusion of R&B and Afrobeats in ‘Halleluyah’ to the Highlife vibes of ‘Wuru Wuru’ and the blend of Afrobeats and Amapiano in ‘Billion Boy’, each track demonstrates his adaptability. His exceptional lyrical skills and storytelling prowess shine through in this project, particularly in ‘Halleluyah’, serving as an ode to his journey and the success and blessings that lie ahead.

Shoday, born Sholade Solomon Segun, has been consistently making waves in music since 2021. He kicked off with his debut single ‘Dey 4 U’ in 2021 and has continued to impress, with hits like ‘Caution’ and ‘Melanin’ gaining popularity on TikTok. His talent has earned him features on platforms such as Apple Music: Up Next Nigerian Artist, as well as recognition from publications like Pulse, Culture Custodian, The Upper Ent, and Wetalksound.
