Miss Health Ghana Launches 6th Edition: A Focus on Health Tech
The sixth edition of Miss Health Ghana (MHG), a pageant for health professionals, has been launched. This year’s theme, “Health through Innovation for a Healthier and Sustainable Future,” will explore how technology is revolutionizing healthcare delivery in Ghana.
Speaking at the launch, Anthony Awotwe Bosumafi, Executive Director of JNCI and a board member of Miss Health Ghana, emphasized the pageant’s vital role in promoting health initiatives and driving positive change. He urged corporations to join in supporting MHG to maximize its impact.
Gladys Akyere Rockson, Executive Director of Miss Health Ghana, underscored the importance of embracing innovation for improved healthcare outcomes. She stated, “This year’s theme, “Health through Innovation for a Healthier and Sustainable Future,” marks a new chapter for Miss Health Ghana. It signifies an era where we embrace technological advancements and innovation as pivotal drivers of improved health service delivery; a time when all health professionals harness innovation to expedite access to treatment and facilitate more effective healthcare.”
Dr. Grace Bukman, Medical Director of Sonotech, highlighted the successful health screenings, cancer awareness campaigns, and national health insurance registrations conducted by previous Miss Health Ghana winners. She announced that the sixth edition would see even more impactful projects.She announced plans for even more impactful projects this year, including a green week celebration with Marriott Hotel and a green campaign tour of tertiary institutions.
The grand finale of the sixth edition of MHG will take place on November 2, 2024, at the Marriott Hotel in Accra. Auditions for contestants will be held on September 21, 2024, at the same venue.
