Aif 2024: The Accra Indie Film fest takes Africa to the world & the world to Africa
The 6th Edition of the Accra Indie Film festival happening at the end of July, promises a big lineup of activities – ranges from movie screenings, workshops, art exhibitions, awards night to a music concert.
All events happening at the British Council and Alliance Française, Accra on 29th July – 3rd August, 2014
Much like other known international film festivals, the vision of the Accra Indie Film fest has gone beyond its borders into wider audiences all over the globe. And as an incubator program for indie filmmakers, Aif lays foundations for young creatives to tell more stories and explore deeper initiatives in the filmmaking industry. With festivals like these, more space is created for open collaborations, and ideas to flow between stakeholders in the film industry.
With over four thousand submitted films and a selection of 50 films from amazing film makers, the audience at the Aif 2024, can expect some local and international featured films in these Selected film categories;
Digital Story – The Kiriji War (Nigeria), Mutirao (Brazil)
Documentary – Life in Limbo (Ghana), Elmina (UK), On your own (Nigeria)
Narrative Films – Deja Nu (Côte D’ivoire), Akos & Janet (USA), Nyame Mma (Ghana)
Animation – Rise (Ghana), Nobody (Little Pig Demon) from China
Student Films – Sealed (Nigeria), Rule of thumb (Ghana), The Prophecy (Senegal)
Music Films – Cold in the morning (Lebanon)
