KAJ: Representing Sweden in Eurovision 2025 with “Bara Bada Bastu”

  • June 13, 2025

Sweden’s Eurovision 2025 entry is set to make a splash with “Bara Bada Bastu” the record-breaking track by the acclaimed Finnish band KAJ. The song has already become a phenomenon across the Nordics and marks a historic moment as Sweden’s first entry in Swedish in 27 years.

THE ROAD TO VICTORY

KAJ‘s path to Eurovision began with a dazzling run at Melodifestivalen 2025 (Swedish Eurovision). Among 30 entries, the competition whittled down to 12 finalists through captivating performances. On March 8th, KAJ emerged victorious with a total of 164 points, impressing the international jury – receiving 12 points from Greece, Norway, Ireland, and Italy – and earning the highest score from the Swedish public, which ultimately secured their win.

With their unique blend of humor and music, KAJ is set to captivate audiences on the Eurovision stage, performing in the First Semi-Final on Tuesday, May 13th 2025.

BARA BADA BASTU: A TRUE CULTURAL PHENOMENON

“Bara Bada Bastu” is not only a strong Eurovision contender, but has already proven itself as a record-breaking hit. The song has taken the charts by storm, reaching #1 on the Official Singles Charts in both Sweden and Finland. It has topped Spotify and Apple Music, led the YouTube Top Songs and Trending lists in both countries, and gained over 50 million sound views on TikTok. The song has solidified its status as a viral sensation. It’s no wonder that “Bara Bada Bastu” is currently one of the bookmakers’ favorites to win Eurovision 2025.
