Alex Warren Taps Joe Jonas for New Version of ‘Burning Down’

  • December 12, 2024

Capping off a stratospheric breakthrough year with a bang, acclaimed singer-songwriter Alex Warren reignites his rising single “Burning Down” with a brand new version featuring multiplatinum GRAMMY® Award-nominated global superstar Joe Jonas out today via Atlantic Records, and notably marks their first collaboration together.

“I’m beyond excited to release a new version of Burning Down with Joe Jonas. It’s surreal that someone I grew up admiring connected with my music so deeply that they wanted to collaborate on a new take on the song. Working with Joe has been amazing—not only because he’s incredibly talented and added a whole new layer to the record but also because he’s such an incredible human. We click both in and out of the studio, making this collaboration even more special to me. I can’t wait for you all to hear our voices together, and I hope you love this version of Burning Down as much as we do.” – Alex Warren

“I’m excited to be collaborating on a newer rendition of ‘Burning Down’ with Alex. His voice and songwriting are incredible. It’s been exciting to watch such a talented artist grow and come into his own. ‘Burning Down’ was already such a powerhouse song, so when he asked me to be a part of this version, I was honored. We had so much fun in the studio together and I hope that comes across when people hear it.” – Joe Jonas

Anchored by a signature sunny piano melody, this rendition sees Warren duet with Joe on the verses, infusing the track with a jolt of fresh energy. Together, they lock into a hypnotic back-and-forth, culminating on the chantable chorus, “Said I’m the one who’s wanted for all the fires you started. You knew the house was burning down, I had to get out.”

To say Warren has surged as a phenomenon worldwide and one of 2024’s breakout stars is an understatement. “Burning Down” took flight as his first Billboard Hot 100 hit, amassing nearly 90 million streams and holding strong on the chart.

Next year, he follows his record-breaking debut world headline tour with his most epic live run to date. The Cheaper Than Therapy Global Tour will visit cities across Europe and North America beginning in Belgium followed by eagerly awaited stops in France, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic, Berlin, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Cologne, Amsterdam, Ireland, Glasgow and the United Kingdom. North American dates will get underway April 24 at Dallas, TX’s famed The Echo Lounge and Music Hall and then travel the US and Canada through early June.
