Its days after the official TGMA release of new artists nominations for the 27th edition of celebrating Ghana music in grandeur. 

While just a few made the cut, this year was a good year for artists reintroducing themselves to the mainstream music scene in Ghana which has just taken a positive turn for Ghanaian music lovers.

As we move further into the year 2026, we are excited to hear new sounds from these talented artists emerging from Ghana. In this article, Spark lists 7 of these artists you should check out; 

Alor G

The young artist made his debut in 2024, gained traction on Tiktok with his song “Free My Mind” and now a major record title “Put It on God” with Rapper, Sarkodie. The 20year old artist makes Afrobeats, Hip pop and Highlife songs. Check out his latest single “My Brothers“.

Kwartengg

A musical genius who explores his creativity as an indie artist making contemporary music and music videos. The undefined sound of Kwartengg is fresh in the Ghanaian scene – his dope single “As It Is” gave him the needed attention he deserves in 2025.

Gonaboy

Gonaboy is an artist making waves with Street rap and Reggae fusion. Although his sound was making waves in the underground, the 2025 single “Same Timbs” gave him mainstream traction in Ghana. Other fan favourites “Abele” and “Hustlers Mantra” shows what more to expect coming in 2026 and beyond.

Mellissa

Exploring what she calls Afro-sexy music, Mellissa can be described as an indie Ghanaian artist making Afro pop music. Her sultry voice captured on songs like “Catch Me If You Can”, “Henny Talk” and recently “Goodboy (Kweku)” shows how exceptional the artist is. So far Mellissa has worked with big name acts like Amaarae, Moliy, BOJ, Joey B.

RCee

RCee is an artist looking to explore more into the authentic Hi-Life sound of Ghana. His dope tunes “Agenda” and “Knees & Bend II” shows how solid the brand RCee is in reviving the Hi-Life sound. 

Jubed

Jubed rose to the limelight with his single “Ruwa” which gained so much online traction for the artist. While the single is his main defining moment, his 2025 “From the Soil” deluxe album shows the talent of the artist. 

Haeven

Haeven is a Ghanaian-Nigerian rapper making steady waves in the music scene in Ghana with her song “WTF” a fan favourite and new album “Gated Community” to show everyone what she is all about.
